Moffat & District Community Initiative have been clients for many years, having been their selected web design team since 2003. We were delighted to be invited to upgrade the web design on the original Visit Moffat website in line with current best practice and with improved SEO features.
Due to the seasonal and tourist information provided on the web site it was very important to Moffat Initiative that they retained editorial control over the web site, and could frequently add, amend and edit pages. This requirement meant that Moffat needed our web content management software.
We rebuilt the site with a width of 990 pixels, to fit on a 1024 pixel screen to improve the visual appearance and usability of the site. We also freshened up the homepage to give a cleaner user experience and upgraded the asp cms to our latest seo friendly version.
Moffat Initiative understood the importance of keyword research and contracted us to carry out detailed keyword research for them. This detailed keyword research meant that we incorporated the correct keywords into the tail of each individual page url.
We created an seo strategy for them based on all the current best practice thinking, including creating a 404 redirect page, 301 redirects and building a blog system which we then incorporated into the site. Using on-site blogging software a new blog was created enbling the team at visit moffat to write and maintain a blog to keep visitors appraised of events and happenings.
