Link Building
Link building is kind of like being a traditional builder.
If you build with the wrong tools or the wrong building materials, your house will likely fall down or have major issues that could take a lot of money to resolve.
The same can be said for link building on your website. If you have links from poorly performing sites, you could be penalised for it and given a red card from Google and other search engines which rank pages with inbound links. The same thing will happen if you use link farms or make a one off payment for lots of website links. You can also end up being linked to some rather unsavoury websites which is obviously not good for business and will get you another red card from Google and other Major Search Engines.
Imagine that the internet is like a ripple in the water when a pebble is dropped into it. The centre area is very small and contains only the top ranked websites like CNN or Reuters. You then have the first outer circle which is full of good quality sites which are ranked 8 or 9 in importance. The next outer circle contains sites which are ranked 6 or 7, and so on. Just as the ripples in water get bigger and bigger, the circles in the internet ranking system develop into the outer ether bands which go on endlessly. These bands (or ripples) are full of the internet's poorest performing websites, and are not seen as being valuable or important by the search engines. The goal, of course, is to be in the higher ranked circles so you don't get lost.
Eskdale Solutions Link Building Aim
Our aim in link building is to create good quality links from websites which are relevant to your business. This helps the search engines realise that your site has top quality content which is seen as important and valuable by other internet users. The relevancy and quality of your links will help your site perform better organically in the search engines. This process takes time and results won't happen overnight. However, over time this will help you to create a strong website which perfoms excellently in the search engines on a consistent basis.
We'd love the chance to tell you more about this and to share our knowledge about search engine optimisation with you.
