404 Pages

404, Page Not Found. A word and numbers which can frustrate even the most placid of internet users. Haven't discovered a 404 page? You are lucky!

A 404 page appears to your website visitors when a page isn't available for them to view, it could be deleted or moved or they may even have typed in the wrong URL.

You can quite easily take the negative of your 404 page and turn it into a positive - use it to direct your visitors back to your homepage or have some fun with it.

Mashable wrote a great article on 404 pages and found some ingenious 404 pages to illustrate their point. Some are funny, some just plain clever but this should inspire you to do something fun and directive with yours!
