Case Study · Self-catering
Three cottages, sold by the place they sit in.
Self-cateringVisit live site ↗
The challenge
Three cottages on one estate — the Mews, the Lodge and wheelchair-accessible Woodsedge — compete with every other cottage on the Solway. What decides it is rarely the kitchen: it is whether there is a beach, a wood, a garden, a gallery and somewhere to eat within reach, and whether the dog and the wheelchair are genuinely welcome.
The solution
What we delivered.
So the site is built around the place as much as the properties: each cottage has its own pages and gallery, and beside them sits a proper guide to what the estate and the coast offer.
- A page and gallery for each cottage, including the accessible one, said plainly
- A library of what to do nearby: walks, beaches, gardens, galleries, historic sites, places to eat
- Dog-friendly and wheelchair-accessible information kept together, not buried in the small print
- Green Tourism Gold and the family-run story where a guest sees them
The result
Services used on this projectOutcome.
A site that answers the questions a guest actually asks before booking, and one that the owners keep current themselves through the blog and What's On.
